Welcome to the bulletin and news round-up…

Here we are on the last day of the Spring Term, remembering of course that tomorrow, Friday 29th, is a Bank Holiday. On behalf of all the staff, wishing everyone a lovely Easter break and for those who celebrate it as Christians, a very blessed Easter. We’re very aware that both Eid al-Fitr and Vaisakhi fall during the break too, so our best wishes and love to all families celebrating those.

I’m off to Argentina for the break – predictably enough, an adventure built largely around watching football matches, though there will be other things!. I’ve figured out and arranged to offset my carbon footprint for this, but still feel a bit guilty about long-haul travel. It’s ‘only’ my 2nd long haul flight and I suspect it’ll be my last. My bosses at the Transform Trust, along with our school Governors, have kindly granted me a couple of extra days leave, so I’ll not be in until Monday the 22nd. Mr Pattison and Mrs Burge will be deputising in my absence. For anyone worrying about value for money for the taxpayer, the leave is offset against the two weeks I had to be in during the last Summer holiday (playground redevelopment) and I’ve had to take it unpaid!
