Firstly, we have taken an early decision to cancel football training today, Thursday the 28th March. After last night’s prolonged heavy rain, the pitch is already flooded. To add to the gloom, the forecast for later his afternoon is more torrential rain and strong winds!
There have been a lot of cancellations this year and we feel the children have missed out somewhat. With that in mind, it has been decided to continue to run Thursday training right through the Summer Term. Normally, we would stop for cricket, but we’ll find a way to do both. Players currently signed up need not re-apply. We’ll just carry-on.
In other news, our girls went to the Transform Girls Football Festival at the Powerleague on Tuesday. 16 teams played in two groups of 8. Our girls did brilliantly:
P7, W5, D1, L1, Goals For 20, Goals Against 4
It was a fantastic day and we came home with medals too! Our team did us proud and even found time to do a bit of an environmental clean-up during their dinner break!
