In Year 3 we will be digitally creating our own WBD costumes and trying them on for size in a digital format!! Our theme is costumes to convey WORDS – if you could dress as a word for a day what word would you choose and what might your costume look like?
We will then be taking part in D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) with Year 5 and year 6.
Then in the afternoon we are planning to look at our vocabulary book – ‘Every Word Tells A Story’ by Tom Read Wilson and recreate some of the words in our reflection books.
The end of the day will be Snuggle and Read – this is Year 3s favourite part of the week. We slip our shoes off, get out the cushions and blankets, hide under the tables and enjoy the simple act of getting lost in our books, all with a roaring log fire in the background – magical.
Year 3 are really looking forward to World Book Day on the 7th March.
NOTE: We are coming to school in NORMAL SCHOOL UNIFORM – it is NOT a dressing up / non uniform day.
