A very warm welcome to Jacob and Asmin, two Dutch trainee teachers on placement from the University of Rotterdam. We have hosted these placements frequently in the past and are delighted to be able to do so again after three years of being unable to, due to the pandemic and sorting out the arrangements post-Brexit.
Jacob and Asmin are 4th year students, well experienced and now trying to improve their (already amazing!) English. Both are actually from the very lovely looking (I googled it) city of Dordrecht. They will become increasingly involved in school life for the remainder of this term. We wish them a happy and useful time with us at Parkdale and in Nottingham in general. We will all be trying to learn a bit of Dutch to make them feel more at home, starting on European Languages Day on monday 26th September.
