In Reception we have been exploring our place in the World this half term. We have had a fabulous time investigating the traditions, culture, food, landscapes and history of the countries in the United Kingdom. We made kilts, tartan, shortbread, Welsh cakes, Victoria Sponge, castles, dragons, roses, shamrocks, Stonehenge, Loch Ness Monsters, Giants Causeways, thistles, leeks, daffodils, Yorkshire puddings, tried tea, celebrated Hogmanay, Bonfire Night and St Patrick’s Day. Phew! We also looked into countries that hold significance for us and compared them to the UK.
