Apple Picking to help the local environment

As part of Parkdale’s 50 Things activity of improving the local environment, the Year Two children helped Mrs Hutchins to pick all of the apples off the apple trees in the school orchard. The apples were then sold to the parents after school and we raised an amazing £75!!! Some of these apples were also donated to a local foodbank to help those who are less fortunate than us.

These monies will be used for the following: gardening equipment, seeds and revamping the plum garden in school.

Well done team Year Two! We are really proud of you for helping towards such a worthy cause!
