Welcome to Bulletin #20
It has been the usual busy week in school, with lots of fun and learning. Notably, Year 3 enjoyed a Roman themed day (report below). It’s always fun to have a lot of Ancient Romans around the place! There has been a lot of use of Parkdale Pines, despite the rather dismal weather – we’re building our resilience – children and staff alike – and tend to go out in all sorts, which is partly the point! Several classes have been making good use of the fantastic indoor cabin and its fire-pit to toast marshmallows to go with a warming cup of hot chocolate!
We start this week with three requests for support; for some resources for Parkdale Pines, a plea for help with a van and asking for ‘guinea pigs’ for a new report format. We’re grateful to be part of such a kind, supportive community and know people will always do what they can to help school. Thank you. On which theme, staff are currently working hard to look at new ways to get the community even more involved in school-life; more events, more chances to come into school etc. A plan is taking shape, so look out for more on this as the term progresses…
If you’re a Tesco shopper, please look out for the token collection in local stores – we’re trying to get funding to improve wheelchair access to some of our outdoor areas. More here and in the feature below: Tesco token poster
