Welcome to Bulletin #35

Hopefully, everyone had a lovely half-term week. Just the (longish) run-in to the Summer break to go now… Another busy bulletin, reflecting that there’s always something going on in school! The idea of the bulletin is to round up the week’s content into one package for those who don’t pick up our communications throughout the rest of the week. Read the bulletin weekly – or at least skim it for relevant items – and you’ll not go far wrong. We send out a weekly notification on the Arbor app when the bulletin is published, with a direct link to it. Lots of people tell us they don’t read it, but then are a bit surprised to have missed out on some bit of news or information. We’re trying really hard to be ‘belt and braces’ here, with pretty much everything getting shared at least twice – once when first posted, repeated in the bulletin. Anything new that is  hugely time-critical, we back up with an Arbor app message at the time too. We can’t do much more to communicate and no one has ever taken us up on our standing offer to do a paper version for them because they aren’t online. It’s also worth remembering that everything here can be translated by Google, which has to be a bonus in such a multi-lingual community! If you’re a regular reader (thank you) and you know people who aren’t, please point them this way so they can feel properly included in all of our news and views and their children don’t miss out on things that might be shared here.

If you’re a Facebook user and don’t follow us there, it’s worth remembering that all our web posts are auto-shared to our Facebook home, meaning you’ll get a notification of new content there too.

Transition Changes

A reminder that we have changed the way we are doing transition this year. As mentioned in a previous website feature and bulletin item, the final week of school will see children move into their new classes, say “bye-bye” to their old teacher(s) and get to know their new teacher(s), classroom and routines. We’re finishing that week off with a big event out on the field together, most likely some kind of picnic!
