Our Year Six children have now completed their statutory end of Key Stage Two assessments – often known as SATs. As ever, all we hope is that the children will do their best and give a true reflection of their ability in the subjects tested. What the tests don’t measure, of course, is behaviour, values and the many, many other talents our children have.

The tests are challenging – some would suggest overly so and it has to be said that some questions this year looked designed to deliberately trip children up – but the children cope. They have worked hard, were well-prepared, well-taught for years, familiar with the procedures and have all got through the week with with resilience, positivity and smiles. Chilled, in fact. Job done!
