The outcomes of Year Six’s End of Key Stage Two assessments, commonly known as SATs, have been released today.

Parents and carers will receive their child’s personal outcomes in due course, if we can process them all in time, with reports on Friday.

Overall, the picture is very healthy:

The key reportable measure is ‘Combined’, children achieving at least expected in all of Reading, Writing and Maths

The headlines are as follows:

Combined: 75%, national average 62%

Reading: 81%, national 75%

Writing 83%, national 72%

Maths: 78%, national 74%

Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling: 81%, national 72%

Well done to Year Six and to the staff and families who have supported them along the journey through primary school. We are proud of them all. Not everyone can pass the tests, but everyone has tried their best. The tests do not measure important things such as character, kindness, respect, sense of humour, creativity and ‘sportiness’. Our children show all of these and all have their own talents. They’re all amazing.
