Tuesday 4th – As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we are holding a Book Swap for Year 5 and 6 on Tuesday 4th March in the afternoon. This is a great chance for children to refresh their bookshelves and discover new stories to enjoy!
To take part, children can bring in a good-condition book from home that they no longer want. They will then have the opportunity to exchange it for a different book that another child has brought in.
Thursday 6th March – We are excited to invite Year 5 parents and carers to a special Reading Drop-In Session on Thursday 6th March from 8:25 to 8:55 am. This is a wonderful opportunity to share a story with your child in school and celebrate the joy of reading together.
Grown ups will need to come in from the playground with their child, on the first or second bell, to take part in the reading session. Your child will be able to show you the way!
Thursday 6th March – WORLD BOOK DAY – children have the opportunity to dress up as a Superhero for the day! Please don’t buy anything especially – homemade costumes are encouraged. Alternatively, children don’t have to dress up and should come in their uniform if they aren’t.
Tuesday 25th March – Pupils in Year 5 would like to invite their family members to join them for an afternoon of creativity and exploration on Tuesday 25th March, 2pm-3.30pm. This event will take place in 5 Oak and 5 Maple. More details on how to sign up will follow shortly.
