Year 4 had a fantastic day on their trip to Perlethorpe, where they took part in exciting Viking and Anglo-Saxon workshops.

In the Viking session, the children got hands-on with history by grinding wheat into flour, testing their skills with a fun shield keepy-uppy game, making their own necklaces, and even dressing up in Viking clothing and weaponry.

The Anglo-Saxon workshop was equally enjoyable, with the children learning lots of fascinating facts about the period before heading outside to take part in an orienteering challenge.

It was a brilliant day full of learning, teamwork, and fun – one that really brought our history topic to life!
