During their Forest School session, the Year 4 children had an exciting opportunity to learn how to safely light fires using specialist tools. Under close supervision, they used fire steels to create sparks, carefully igniting small piles of cotton wool. This hands-on experience helped them develop essential outdoor skills, teamwork, and responsibility while deepening their understanding of fire safety. The children showed great enthusiasm and resilience, working together and appreciating the warmth and sense of achievement that came with their success.
