Today (Weds) saw the semi finals and final of the competition for the Y5 children attending before-school table tennis academy. This group have shown fantastic dedication to come in at 8am each Wednesday to hone their skills. They are a delightful bunch and all have improved massively. The standard of play is now very high indeed.
The girls’ final was won by Poppy (2-1) in a very, very close affair against Lauren, each game in the best-of-three match going beyond 11 points.
The boys’ match was similarly close, with lots of changes in the lead before Oscar took a 2-1 win against Danyal.
Well done also to beaten semi-finalists, Renee, Everley, Manmeet and Kaiden. All have reached a very good level.
Thanks for all the lovely feedback from parents/carers about these sessions too – it’s been lovely to see you all bright and early each Wednesday!
The trophies have been a bit delayed in the post. Winners will receive theirs in Assembly as soon as they arrive!
