Welcome to Bulletin #18
Here we are again. Another Friday, another bulletin. It’s been another busy week. The weather has been so grim that we’ve had to relent on our intention to always go out on the field and temporarily suspend that. We aim to be back out there from Monday onwards. Thanks to all for their patience and understanding when their children have got a bit muddier than they might have liked. It’s a learning process for all of us and we really want the children to take some responsibility for their own choices – it’s an important part of growing up. We’ve also reminded them (a lot!) that they really don’t have to go on the field if it’s not their thing (or their parents’/carers’ thing)!
We’ve also had – to date – just over 160 children who have made reward ‘purchases’ from the Parkdale Store. Many also tell us they are saving up for something bigger. Based on those numbers, already the system is more inclusive and fairer. Some of the treats that depend on numbers to make them viable are getting close to those numbers, so if your child has booked a posh meal, cinema treat, disco or extra football they shouldn’t have too long to wait now.
Looking forward to next week already…
