Welcome to this week’s bulletin and news round-up…
There don’t seem to be many news stories on our site this week, which I think is more of a reflection of how busy people are doing things than that there’s not much going on!
This week has been Art Week. We do masses of art throughout the year and we are aiming for an Artsmark Gold Accreditation; this week is just a real focus on lots and lots of creativity, even more than usual. Hopefully, some of the activities and outcomes will be reported next week.
Our fantastic choir have performed at the Albert Hall in a mass choir comprising all the Transform schools. This was a wonderful event and again hopefully a report will appear for you next week.
Year Four are off to the theatre (today) and I’m sure they’ll report on how that goes. What a day in Y4, come to that… theatre in the morning followed by Eid party in the afternoon!
We have some children out today at a netball tournament – good luck to them!
We’re still awaiting reports on Year Two’s visit to Cadbury World and Year Four’s visit to the Nottingham Open tennis last week.
It has been lovely to see everyone enjoying the Euro 2024 non-uniform days, which have created quite a buzz. See next week’s diary below for an update for next week’s fixtures.
It has also been great to see all of our classes fully engaging with our Creating Active Schools Initiative. There has been lots of outdoor learning and lots of extra physical activity. The climbing wall and outdoor gym have never been so busy!
Work continues apace on our new Forest School area and the gateway and fencing are now complete. Again, more to follow on this and there is now a dedicated page on our website.
