We hope that you have all had a lovely week. As we write Year 6 are on their way back from an amazing and exciting residential, whilst Year 1 and 2 are getting excited to visit the seaside on Monday!
Next week sees another busy week at Parkdale. We have another coffee morning on Wednesday 24th June and also our Summer Fayre on Friday evening. We hope to see you all at our Sports Days and celebration evening the following week. On that note please check the updated times for Sports Days. Year 3 and 4 will be at 2.15pm on Tuesday 30th June, KS1 will take place at 2.15pm on 1st July, Year 5 and 6 on 3rd July at 9.15am.
After a very rigorous recruitment process, we are delighted to have appointed a new Deputy Headteacher, Ben Precious. Mr Precious is currently Assistant Headteacher at South Wilford Endowed Primary School and brings with him a wealth of experience in Teaching and Learning and Leadership, in addition to a love of sport! Both Mr Precious and Mrs Stafford will be joining us at the School Fayre on Friday 26th June, so please do come and say hello.
We are sad to share the news that Miss Hutsby will be leaving us at the end of this Academic year to take up a position at a different school (not too far away for us to bump into her from time to time hopefully). Miss Hutsby has thoroughly enjoyed working with all the children, parents and staff since she joined us and she will be really sad to say goodbye having made the difficult decision to take up a post at Haddon Primary. We wish her well and know that our loss is definitely their gain!
