This afternoon see the annual event to celebrate the winners of the Transform Trust Children’s Awards. Each school puts forward a winner in each category, which correspond to the Trust’s core values. In previous years a panel here has chosen our winners from nominations from children. This year, the timings meant that wouldn’t be feasible, so we asked staff to make nominations and a panel then selected from these.
It’s fair to say, we had many, many children worthy of an award and celebration of their values. However, we had to have make a choice in each and these are the deserving award winners.
Creativity: Jurgis Galinaitis – 2 Sycamore
Respect – Wilf Hawkes – 4 Poplar
Equity – Nariya Mackay-O’Connor – 4 Ash
Kindness – Deen Ahmed – 3 Elm
These four are off to the very posh presentation event at Colwick Hall later today.
In the adult sphere, there is also an award for Governors who have made an outstanding contribution. For us, our winner is Trevor Wilson for his great support on our journey towards Artsmark. Thank you Trevor.
