The Y5/6 Table Tennis League, which runs after school on a Thursday, is now into its third week. We have 18 players registered, 3 staff and the remainder all Year 6 as no Year 5s took up the invitation.
The competition is a round-robin with all players scheduled to play each other before we stop at Christmas. There is a trophy for the overall winner, one for the most improved player and a medal for all competitors.
Each session starts with 15-20 minutes of coaching before we go into our league matches. We’re all currently working on improving our serves, varying speed, direction and spin.
The current leader is Shaun, with Ahmad close behind and then Ollie in 3rd. Much depends on who has played who though and there’s a long way to go…
