After all the competitors have completed as many league matches as possible (17 mostly), our clear winner is…

…Sean, 6 from 6 Beech.

Sean has led pretty much from week one and has continued to develop into a very strong player. He won an amazing 16/17 of his matches. He’s worked really hard on his game and built on his obvious natural talent. Congratulations to him

While Sean was well clear, behind him it was very close, with Ahmad (6 Beech) just pipping Yousaf (6 Cedar) for the runner-up spot. These two gave Sean his closest matches, Ahmad in fact being the only competitor to beat Sean head-to-head.

All 15 players have made fantastic progress. Each will be presented with a  competitor’s medal in Assembly next week and Sean will receive his trophy. There will also be a trophy for the most improved player, which will be very difficult to pick, all having done so well.

The final two weeks of the club (23rd and 30th of January) will see knock out competitions; the top 8 in the league will play for the Champions Cup and the second half for the Plate.

From an adult’s perspective, it is fair to say that Mr Pattison and Mr Hillier have thoroughly loved running this club; the boys have been fantastic, getting just the right blend of competitiveness mixed with respect, kindness and just having a good laugh.
