Yesterday we had an amazing day in the Stone Age in Year 1. We looked at an AR model of Skara Brae, then we lit a fire and shared a lovely story “Stone Age Boy”. We enjoyed eating a hunter/gatherer snack of berries and then used salt dough to make some Stone Age jewellery. We also built some wonderful dens, and imagined that they were our Stone Age homes. Later on we roasted some marshmallows, created cave art with sticks and powder, played some drums and read some of our Year 1 book “The Wild Way Home”. We went a little wild and painted our faces and played some games in the Forest School before heading back to modern times and going home!!
