Quite a number of people have asked why we haven’t been selling poppies, badges, wristbands for the Royal British Legion this year. This has not been a deliberate choice on our part, but the RBL have not responded to our requests to have stock sent up to us. This seems a shame as we are told we are usually their biggest source of revenue locally.
We will try our best to sort this situation for next year, but meantime can only suggest that poppies are bought elsewhere. They can, of course, be worn to school.
On Friday, we will be marking Armistice Day with the traditional silence, with bugler, at 11am.
