Dear parents & wider school community,
We know many of you will be aware that Mr Pattison has not been in school since we returned after Easter. A few people have asked after him and were concerned he may be ill. We can confirm that he is not ill but has taken the decision, with the support of Transform Trust, to leave a little earlier than planned. You will all be aware that he was due to leave in July anyway and felt that, for family reasons particularly, it was necessary to leave sooner.
Mr Pattison is a well-respected member of the school team and the children have all loved his sense of humour, his witty responses, poems, plays and general happy demeanour with which he has helped lead the school and teach the children. He will be truly missed by all staff and children.
As you know Mrs Claire Stafford has been appointed as Headteacher with a start date of September and the Trust are currently in the process of appointing a new Deputy Headteacher. In the interim Mrs Claire Paparozzi remains the Strategic Headteacher for Parkdale Primary School and is supporting the existing Senior Leadership Team. In true Parkdale style, all the staff continue to support each other as well as the children to ensure that there is only a positive impact on the children and they continue to receive a high-quality day-to-day experience in school.
Existing after school clubs run by Mr Pattison have been suspended for now and will be reviewed over the coming weeks.
