Years Three to Six enjoyed a fantastic, raucous afternoon at the Nottingham Playhouse on our traditional annual trip to the Panto, this year Jack and the Beanstalk. With over 260 of us there, we tend to take over the theatre a bit and we’re certainly very noisy and enthusiastic with our cheering of the heroes and booing of the villain.

Last year, the Dame randomly picked on Mr Pattison for a few cheeky jokes. Mr P decided to hide himself away out of the spotlight this year, but a kind colleague had the foresight to contact the Playhouse in advance, suggesting the Dame might have a bit more fun with him. To say the Dame went for it might be an understatement. Mr P, errr,  ‘enjoyed’ being the butt of almost every gag throughout and even got to wear a special t-shirt made for him! He took it in in good spirit and it certainly added to the entertainment value for us.

Our thanks to the cast, especially the Dame John Elkington and the lovely people behind the scenes at the Playhouse for putting on such an amazing show and for accommodating us so wonderfully. We’ll see you next year. Oh yes we will…
