We have closed the house points competition for this year and are busily calculating the winners. We have realised that our original plan to take the top 100 points winners to the cinema was flawed in terms of fairness. Inevitably, some teachers are more prolific with their awarding of house points than others and the children in their classes would have an advantage. So, to balance that out, we have changed the plan to be the top 7, plus ties, in each class.
The children will be told the winners in assembly at 9am on Monday and a letter will come home that day with a permission slip for Thursday’s cinema trip. There is nothing for parents/carers to plan as everything happens in the school day and we can work dinners around our midday departure. We’ll just need the permission slip back by Thursday.
