Another Tuesday, another Gedling PSFA match for our ‘a’ team, against the right opposition this time!
Our neighbours from ‘down the hill’ were the visitors for what proved to be a great match. The first half see-sawed to and fro and finished 3-3, with an Alex hat-trick for all of our goals, but everyone making a brilliant contribution.
At half time, we decided we needed to just be a bit more physical and give the opposition’s skilful players less time on the ball. This worked a treat as we imposed ourselves on the game to finish 6-3 winners. Alex go another and Ruben scored two, including a miraculous goal direct from a corner.
It was a super all-round performance from everyone, some of whom played out of position towards the end as we switched things around. Centre forward Max was particularly chuffed with one brilliant tackle he made as right back! Our opponents picked out a star player and went for Danayah, whose passing was something special today.
