A thrilling encounter to get the football season back up and running as we took on Netherfield in a local derby on a proper mudbath of a pitch. In difficult conditions, both teams put on a great show, a ten goal thriller which ended in a 6-4 win for us. All credit to the players form both sides for their skill and not-least their resilience. The goalmouth picture, near the trim trail is particularly swampy and I think we nearly lost ‘keeper Jesse a few times as he sank into the gloop!
