Parkdale Football, Promoting Hope

Our team opened their season with a home fixture against our neighbours from Netherfield. Both schools used big squads to give lots of players a first run-out. A very entertaining match concluded with a nil-nil draw but it wasn’t short of incident or good attacking football. Both teams had good ‘keepers in top form and a scoreless draw was alwayso n the cards.

We played some very good football, trying to play our passing game and building from the back. Everyone played their part and did what was asked of them. We showed a lot of skill, awareness of space and tactics and a great deal of strength and determination. The match was played in a great friendly spirit by both sides, whilst also being hard-fought.

Thanks to all who came along to support. We’re back in action next Thursday, home again to even nearer neighbours Sacred Heart. for a proper local derby!
