๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ European Languages Day โ€“ A Wonderful Journey Around Europe! ๐ŸŒ

Our school was buzzing with excitement as we celebrated European Languages Day with a fun-filled journey around Europe! The children had the opportunity to explore different countries, discover fascinating facts and take part in a wide variety of creative, practical and cultural activities.

Our EYFS children travelled to Italy, where they painted the Colosseum, created colourful flag collages and worked together to build their very own Leaning Towers of Pisa!

In KS1, the children explored even more European countries. They designed their own cars inspired by the Monaco Grand Prix, built mountain ranges and explored Switzerland through chocolate bar designs and Swiss cable car creations. They also created beautiful tulip and windmill artwork inspired by the Netherlands and challenged themselves to build impressive Eiffel Tower structures inspired by France.

Our KS2 children took on a fantastic range of challenges from across Europe. They designed and built furniture inspired by IKEA in Sweden, completed exciting LEGO challenges from Denmark and explored the music and dance of Bulgaria. They tackled a Budapest spa building challenge, created stunning Northern Lights artwork inspired by Iceland, designed Romanian tourist posters and designed their own colourful Norwegian gloves.

From building and designing to dancing, painting and creating, there was something for everyone. The children were immersed in different European cultures throughout the day and thoroughly enjoyed sharing their learning with friends.

It was wonderful to see so much creativity, curiosity, teamwork and enthusiasm across the school.

What a fantastic way to celebrate the languages, cultures and creativity of Europe!
