We were delighted to host a showcase of our digital teaching and learning this week. A number of senior educators from across the country came to visit us in our capacity as an Apple Distinguished School. They left inspired by the way technology is used by staff and children, particularly around the ways that the tech is used to support children who might need that bit extra and also just the general love for learning the children demonstrate.

This lovely feedback came to from the organiser, the Educational Development Officer  at Jigsaw24, Apple’s regional premium business partner:

Thank you all for welcoming us to Parkdale yesterday. It was, once again a genuine pleasure to spend time with you and to see the exceptional work you are doing.

From EYFS right through to Year 6, the joy, creativity and purposeful use of iPad were evident in every classroom. Your teachers have been empowered to take risks and allow student choice which creates a culture of innovation.  This learning environment you have created is something to be very proud of. Your Digital Leaders were particularly impressive – enthusiastic, articulate and clearly passionate about the role technology plays in their learning… I literally skipped out of school.
