Huge thanks to all for their generosity and support with our projects during Community Action Week.
We always try to do as much as we can to support good causes, globally, nationally and locally. Community Action Week is expected of all Transform schools and we always try to take it to the highest possible level and go for it in a big way. Over recent years, our efforts have been recognised in the local media – TV, radio and printed – and we’ve developed quite a reputation in this respect.
This time, we went for a series of ‘car-boot’ sales – one hosted by each year group – and a collection of items for our long-term friends at Hope. The car boot idea, as well as being a cash-raiser – also fitted in nicely with our sustainability goals, to encourage more recycling, re-using and re-purposing. Hopefully, they also provided some families with a chance for a little de-clutter!
The outcomes exceeded all expectations. The car boots raised a shade over £500 for Hope and we have been able to deliver a huge food parcel on top of that.
Again, our thanks for engaging with this so wonderfully and making such a great contribution.
