Bikeability is run in association with VIA East Midlands and in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council to offer FREE sessions in school to either teach children how to ride a bike (Learn to Ride) or improve their riding skills and prepare them for riding safely on the road (Level 1).
We are lucky to have both of these sessions here in school in November. Please read this post VERY CAREFULLY to make sure you sign up for the correct session.
All sessions are Free of Charge and take place on the school playground during the school day.
Learn to Ride – This is open to children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 who CANNOT ride unsupported / without stabilisers for a distance of 10 meters. Bikes and helmets will be provided.
Level 1 – This is open initially to Years 3 and 4 only and is for children who CAN ride unsupported and without stabilisers for a distance of 10 meters or more. Children need to bring their own bike and helmet.
It is important to sign up for the correct session.
Please follow the links contained on the letter for the session you wish to book your child onto. Closing date for sign up is Friday 17th October 2025.
Any questions, please contact Mrs Cooper by email on acooper@parkdale.notts.sch.uk with Bikeability and the session you are interested in written as the subject of the email.
Regards
Mrs Cooper
