The trial run of a homework space, for families to complete homework together in school, with access to school resources and a member of staff, has not been as popular as we would have anticipated. From 18 families signed-up, we have generally only been seeing one or two attending. That’s no problem, but it’s not an effective use of staff time at the end of the day and there is clearly not a regular and sustained demand for this offer.
With that in mind, we’ll bring this trial to an end and won’t continue to offer the homework space in the new year. It was worth a go and our thanks to those who suggested and prompted the trial, which did indeed seem a great idea at the time,
