Our boys won their penultimate league match of the normal season yesterday, a 4-1 home win against Porchester. In what was otherwise a very even, end-to-end match, our boys produced 15 minutes of dominant football at the start of the 2nd half for storm into a 4-0 lead. Porchester came back strongly, especially when the powerplay permitted them an extra player, but we held on relatively comfortably.

The result leaves us thinking that a win in our final match – home to Stanhope on Thursday – would see us finish runners-up to Sacred Heart and assure us qualification for the Champions Cup knockout phase.
