Summer Term 

This term, our whole school Peace & Conflict topic is called ‘20th Century War’.

In Y6, as part of this topic, we will be developing our knowledge and understanding of 20th Century War, including:

• What is war? How do wars start?
• What were the events that led to WWI and WWII?
• How were the lives of people living in Britain impacted upon?
• Who are the key figures in this time period?
• What was Holocaust and what was the impact?

We’ll be covering these areas of learning across the curriculum and a few of our outcomes will include: a documentary/podcast, biography writing and studying the text ‘Letters From The Lighthouse’.
