Summer Term 

The whole school Summer term topic is Peace & Conflict. In Y4, we will be learning about peace and conflict within India.

In History and Geography lessons, the children will be learning about the location of India, the British Empire, conflict between India and surrounding countries, conflict between different religions within India, the fairness of different lives people live in India and about peaceful leaders such as Ghandi. In Art and DT, the children will be studying the artist Jasmini Ray, who was an Indian painter and then creating beautiful batiks. They will also be using oil pastels and watercolours to draw Indian elephants and the natural bird of India- the peacock. In Digital, the children will be creating collaborative non-chronological reports outlining different aspects of India.
