Summer Term 

In the first half term we study ‘Dreams of Freedom’ and in the second we look at ‘Robin Hood’.

We will teach these themes as part of our whole school value’s curriculum; ‘Peace and Conflict’.  Please see our topic letter and web for more details about what we teach in each subject.

During the first half term we explore what ‘freedom’ means to the children and focus upon peace and conflicts within history. We delve into the events of Rosa Parks and segregation, making links to Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Barak Obama.

Within ‘Robin Hood’ we look into the history of the ‘Middle Ages’ within Nottingham and focus upon the theme of rich and poor.
