Mr Chell and 4 volunteers have planted a tree as part of the Platinum Jubilee Queen’s Canopy campaign.
The tree is a Weeping Silver pear Tree, chosen for it’s platinum silver coloured leaves. It has been planted along the Cliff Road side of the playground.
The 4 volunteers all share birthdays around the same time as the Queen. We hope the tree will grow strong and add to the shade on the playground in years to come.
