We’re very excited to announce that we are going to be collectively work towards achieving an Artsmark Award! The Artsmark Award is the only creative, quality standard for schools and educational settings, accredited by Arts Council England.
Although the recognition via an award is important for us, our pupils and our community, most importantly the journey we will go on as a school provides a clear framework for the development and evaluation of creativity across the curriculum, not just in the subject ‘Art’. We feel we have a really creative curriculum but are aspirational that there’s always room for continuous development and innovation!
A key part of this award is continuing professional development for some of our staff, which will be shared across the school and consequently make a real positive impact on creativity at Parkdale. We’ll keep you posted on our journey using posts and images in our photo galleries!
