After Summer half-term, Year Six will be starting a new programme of learning about thwe world of work and finance. This is something they have asked us, via School Council, to put on for them.

The programme, which we have developed ‘in house; will cover such things as applying for jobs, gettng paid, taxation, finding accommodation, household budgeting, saving etc. It will be delivered over a flexible number of one hour sessions, probably 4 to 6.

This is all part of our commitment to respond to pupil voice and to provide an educaiton that starts to prepare children for real life in a safe, familiar, age-appropriate environment. If this ‘pilot’ is successful, we will continue to devleop this further and make it a permanent feature of our Y6 curriculum.
