Yesterday (Thursday 21st April) our girls played their penultimate Gedling PSFA League match. The opposition were All Hallows, who turned out to be a very strong side indeed – physical (but fair), strong and quick. For large parts of the match, we were their equals, but it seemed every shot they had crept in and every shot we had hit their ‘keeper, who also made two amazing saves.

By half-time, we trailed 2-0, which seemed a bit harsh. We had played some great football, but were caught on the break twice. In the second half, we had a bit of a switch around, went chasing goals and were probably the better side. Somehow though, we only managed to concede another three!

So, it ended 5-0, but we’d played some of our best football of the season. Such is life and such is football. Everyone played their part in what was a high-quality, brilliant match. As they say, “we go again” on Tuesday v Sacred Heart.

Squad: Lottie, Amy, Georgia, Amelia, Lola, Layla, Sofia, Evie-Grace – all should be very proud of their performances.
