On Monday, we hosted matches v our neighbours at Sacred Heart in both the ‘a’ team and girls’ leagues.

In a very hard fought, high quality match between two good sides, our boys went down 2-1 to a late, late, speculative fluke of a goal. We’d gone one up through, conceded a decent equaliser just ebefore half time and had the better chances throughout the 2nd half. We played some brilliatn apssing football, but lacked a finishing touch and were up against an inspired ‘keeper. A disappointing result, but a great performance nonetheless. MOTM Sami, for his drive and energy, again!

Our girls, without key player Amy, went down 4-0 to a strong Sacred Heart side, though the scoreline was perhaps a bit harsh. The attitude  was great and the girls kept going with a much-improved, strong 2nd half perfoamcnes after being 3-0 down at half time.
