Yesterday (Thursday 20th) saw a convincing victory for our cricket team against Jess Gray Primary from West Bridgford.
Esa won the toss and chose to field first. We started strongly, taking 10 wickets (each 5 runs off the batting team’s total), almost all bowled, leaving JG with a total of 184.
After a tea break of fruit juice and a veritable mountain of biscuits, it was our turn to bat.
Chasing 185, Ollie and Esa quickly put on 50 runs from their 4 overs and we built steadily on that throughout to finish comfortable winners on 308.
This was a great way to finish the year and a term of cricket club (when the weather permitted!)
Thanks to the family members and other cricket fans who came along to support and create a lovely atmophere for the boys to play in.
