You should have received your child’s report by now. We welcome your feedback and views on the page provided for this. We do read and take note of every single one.
On which subject, our annual survey is now open and your feedback there is also very welcome and valued. Again, we take note of all of this and report the outcomes and comments to Governors and the Transform Trust. Many changes we have made in recent years have arisen out of comments on the survey, so please feel free! It’s all online at Survey Monkey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/KPP6Q27
We have issued some advice and updates about the weather warnings for next week: https://parkdale-primary.co.uk/weather-warnings/
Year Six seem to have had a fantastic time on their residential visit to the Mount Cook Centre in Derbyshire. There are updates and photos on their home page and on Twitter https://parkdale-primary.co.uk/year-6/
A reminder here that Year Six have their leavers’ Assembly next Tuesday, 9-10am
Year Six also have their Leavers’ Festival- a social event – from 5-7pm next Tuesday.
We were delighted with the outcomes of tests and assessemtns in all phases of school this year. We can confirm that we are well above National Averages on all measures from Early Years right through to Year SIx: https://parkdale-primary.co.uk/ks2-sat-results/
It seems the Gedling Schools FA Cup Final for our girls’ football team will be re-scheduled from 4pm on Monday, in all probabilioty to a ‘daytime’ kick off later in the week. We’ll update when we know for sure.
There are plans afoot for a mass water fight on the last day of school. This has become a bit of a traditional treat that the children look forward to. A chance to soak the adults in school always goes down well! https://parkdale-primary.co.uk/water-fight/
The Summer Fair was a huge success – it was so good to have this back after two years’ absence. Thanks to all who worked so hard to make it happen and to all who supported this event: https://parkdale-primary.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/Summer-Fair-Final-Total-1.pdf
You might have noticed the newly painted fences adding a splash of colour to the playground. Huge thanks to the army of volunteers, which included a number of parents and carers. https://parkdale-primary.co.uk/playground-fences/
Our new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) is scheduled to be installed on the playground next week. This may cause some diruption to entry and exit at drop-off and home time, but we’ll do all we can to minimise that. Along with the floodlights we have ordered, we hope this will considerably add to our capacity to deliver an extended sports offer through the year as well as imporving the quality of PE lessons.
Year 5 are collecting for the Nottingham Refugee Forum tomorrow, Friday 15th: https://parkdale-primary.co.uk/refugee-donations/
Early Years and Key Stage One have had their Sports Days. Years 3 and 4 have their tomorrow, Friday 15th. Years 5 and 6 are scheduled for Monday 18th. Reports and updates on all on their home pages in due course.
Next Week…
A reminder that we break up at the end of Thursday, the 21st.
Monday 18th is Open Evening, 3:45-5:30pm
