Y5 Staffing

We are delighted to announce that Miss Miller, already doing the job ‘informally’ was successful at interview today and has now officially become the class teacher for 5 Maple. Congratulations to her and thanks too for all her support in a challenging time for the class

Football News

We go into the Winter break for football with a tremendous win for our girls’ team yesterday. They came away from their Gedling PSFA League match at Willow Farm with a very convincing 5-0 win. Goals came from Amy, Sofia (2), Danayah and Evie-Grace but everyone played their part. Well done to all!

Squad: Danayah (Captain), Evie-Grace, Amy, Lola, Layla, Lottie, Georgia, Amelia, Sofia

Remembrance

We will be continuing to sell poppies etc after school for as long as stocks last. There will be two assemblies related to Remembrance next week, a general one on Monday and our Faith assembly in Wednesday will include a reminder of the role played by soldiers of Asian heritage, which was hugely significant.

We will, as usual, mark the two minutes’ silence on Thursday, though unfortunately our wonderful bugler, Mr Ellis, is not able to attend this year.
