We hosted our neighbours from Colwick St John’s for our final pre-season friendly yesterday (11th Oct). On a beautiful, sunny evening, we started strongly and took the game to our visitors, scoring early on. We dominated the first half, building on our lead to get to the break 3-0 up. The team played with great shape and some of our attacking passing football was fantastic.
Colwick made a few changes at half time and a couple of injuries changed our line-up. The second half was much more even in terms of possession and Jack in our goal had to make a few good saves, enough indeed to earn him MOTM! We were limited to one more goal and finished up 4-0 winners.
Next up for us, our first Gedling PSFA League match, at home to Burton Joyce next Thursday (20th October)
